Odinakaonye Lagi, is a development professional and human rights advocate with over 20 years’ experience promoting human rights-based programming in Nigeria. Currently the Program Director, NULAI Nigeria, a network of law clinics in Nigeria promoting clinical legal education and Co-President of the Global Alliance for Justice Education (GAJE). Her work has contributed to the development of more than 50 law clinics and securing institutional approval for the inclusion of university-based legal aid clinics into the community of statutorily recognized legal aid services in Nigeria. She has designed and led research using mixed approaches on citizen-security relations in Africa, climate change and conflict, reflective practice in clinical legal education, Covid-19 and human rights, survivors of trafficking and the risk of re-trafficking for returnee, and criminal justice administration. She received the Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award 2023-2024 Saint Francis Xavier University Antigonish, NS, Canada, and was an Open Society Justice Initiative (OSJI)Human Rights Fellow.
