I am an accomplished woman, self-motivated with expertise in devising and implementing practical solutions to complex problems in my area of expertise. I have a Doctorate in Law (LLD) and hold two Masters one in Law and the other in Policy, and a bachelor’s degree in law with practical experience gained over a period of 25 years as a legal practitioner eighteen of which has been dedicated to academia. I am a gender expert, policy analyst and Human Rights expert amongst other qualifications. I am a well-experienced researcher in access to justice, women’s land and property rights, human rights, violence against women, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, policy and legislative drafting and development, law reform and developmental issues as well as gender and climate change and environmental justice. I am also a Senior Lecturer in law and gender, a consultant, administrator both at the domestic and international level and trainer of trainers. Moreover, I am a result and goal-oriented person, self-driven, with apt leadership qualities and team player with excellent ability to dialogue. I served as the Chairperson, Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Kenya and have excellent academic track record and well published. I also served in the board for ESCR-Net based in New-York as the Sub-Saharan African representative. I currently serve as a member board of advisors to International Development Law Development Organization (IDLO) and National Legal Aid Service.
