Nyasha Mpani is a dedicated Project Leader for the Data for Governance Alliance Project at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) and a committed Ph.D. candidate in Philosophy. His work spans project management, stakeholder engagement, data-driven advocacy, and research, with a strong track record in monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, and cross-cultural collaboration. Nyasha has extensive experience designing and delivering capacity-building programmes for Members of Parliament, political parties, civil society organisations, youth groups, and community structures. His ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, actionable insights has made him an invaluable resource in strengthening governance ecosystems across Africa. He has worked closely with African Union organs, contributing to initiatives linked to Agenda 2063, and has conducted research in critical areas such as state torture, transitional justice, and democratic governance. His approach is grounded in evidence-based analysis and a deep commitment to strengthening institutions, enhancing accountability, and supporting inclusive participation. Known for his exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, Nyasha excels at communicating with diverse audiences and building strong, trust-based relationships at all levels, often leveraging technology to enhance outreach and impact. He remains passionate about applying his skills, knowledge, and continental experience to advance meaningful social change.
